Re: [TEKNIK] Mystsk applikation flush

Tidligere svar var forkert. EN pakke "noflushd" stopper disk-spin
og udsætter write (bruger RAM i stedet indtil den er fyldt op).

Description: allow idle hard disks to spin down

Noflushd is a daemon that spins down disks that have not been read
from after a certain amount of time, and then prevents disk writes
from spinning them back up. It's targeted for laptops but can be
used on any computer with IDE or SATA disks. The effect is that the
hard disk actually spins down, saving you battery power, and
shutting off the loudest component of most computers.

En spørger har ligesom dig oplevet 99% belastning og fjernede
noflushd:

There was no major I/O going on. It seems I must have installed
noflushd at some stage. The problem disappeared when I stopped
these processes and uninstalled noflushd. I am not sure if this is
related to the info about pdflush.
