Dette er måske mere misc eller teknik men det vedrører dog mit netværk.
jeg er ved at flytte rundt på "hjemmekontoret" og skal derfor bruge nyt netværkskabler.
Sidder med musen på køb-knappen med opdagede så at der er flere varianter af -tilsyneladende- samme kabel...
Det ene hedder : CAT 5e (UTP) RJ45 Patchkabel 1.0 m
Det andet : CAT 5e (FTP) RJ45 Patchkabel 1.0 m


Udover teksten, hvad er så forskellen på de to?


UTP står for: Unshielded Twisted Pair og er en ikke/dårligt beskyttet kabel standard derfor er den også tit billigere.


FTP står for: Foiled Twisted Pair og har en skærm af folie uden om selve kablet som beskytter mod udefra kommende forstyrrelser.


Næsten alt min kabling er UTP og virker fint, så jeg ville bare bruge UTP medmindre det er kritisk kabling og du er beskymret om forstyrrelser fra andet elektronisk udstyr.
