Re: Hjælp med oversættelse ønskes! - status

Read from printer timed out Læsning fra printer løb tidsmæssigt ud - lyder dumt, men vel dækkende???

Har valgt at bruge

"Printeren meldte ikke tilbage inden tidsfristens udløb"

Internal error! Output channels or input channels must be 1\n

Fra gimp-print udvikleren:

This is an error message that should never be seen by end users. If
it is ever observed, it indicates a programming error. I recommend
not translating it, or at most translating "Internal error".

Bond

Cut Sheet Bin 1
Cut Sheet Bin 2

These are terms that Epson uses to describe the paper trays. So your interpretation (precut sheets in tray number 1) is correct. "Cut Sheet Autoselect" means that the printer automatically selects the correct input tray.

%s wrap mode must be %s\n

As far as I can see out of the context, wrap around must be like: "The
action of a counter that starts over at zero or at minus infinity....... "
Is it correct to translate it like

Gimp-print udvikleren:

Pretty much. It's used to describe a curve. The curve can either be
seen as having two endpoints (a "no wrap" curve) or no endpoints
(like a circle).

Screening Adjustment
Afskærmnings justering - sådan direkte fra ordbogen. I filen er det brugt:

   STP_PARAMETER_TYPE_DOUBLE, STP_PARAMETER_CLASS_OUTPUT,
   STP_PARAMETER_LEVEL_ADVANCED, 0, 1, -1, 1
 },
 {
   "DitherAlgorithm", N_("Dither Algorithm"), N_("Screening Adjustment"),
N_("Choose the dither algorithm to be used.\n"
"Adaptive Hybrid usually produces the best all-around quality.\n"

  In genral: dither algoritm
I am not a trained color/picture worker, so I don't know the exact term,
but I have seen it used as:
  colorreduction algoritm
like putting raster in a print
my suggestion/interpretation is smoothing the print?

"Screening" algorithm is another choice. I suggest asking someone
who's experienced in prepress work for a proper translation. It's
related to smoothing the print, but "dither" or "screen" is a
technical term of art.

  1. Screening Adjustment
In comment it says: #: src/main/dither-main.c:84, and it is string
  (msgid) 26
What is it that actually is to be adjusted = how to translate Screening?

Again, you'll need to consult someone familiar with prepress work who
speaks Danish, since this is a technical term. What it's doing is
choosing the best placement of dots on the page to produce the
smoothest print.

Igen - mange tak for hjælp
