Nemlig.

Mange systemer har en system-udgave af $HOME/.Xclients filen, som
først checker om f.eks. Gnome er installeret, og hvis det ikke er
tilfældet startes en anden window-manager - ofte twm. Der er nok
sket det at du har opgraderet, og så ligger nogle af filerne et
andet sted end system-scriptet forventer - derfor kører den twm.
