Det gør jeg også på HP Tru64.  Der er problemet det samme.
Og der er der også installeret Mathematica.

Nu har jeg prøvet at gøre Mathematicas ".afm"-filer
utilgængelige for almindelige dødelige.  Det var
tilsyneladende ikke dem der var problemet.

Og det var heller ikke OOo-1.0.0.7's ".afm"-filer.  Jeg har
på fornemmelsen at problemet er at problemet hænger sammen
med at jeg bruger en forkert ".afm"-fil.  Så vidt jeg kan se
er det nemlig ".afm"-filer der fungerer som afbildninger
mellem skriftsnitfiler og tegntabeller.  Jeg har en tredie
".afm"-fil på mit system (der er forskellig fra Mathematicas
og OOo-1.0.0.7's):

   954a8005866ac3178add646d09c867a6  /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1/cour.afm

(det foran er filens MD5-sum)  Den kommer fra RPM-pakken
"XFree86-base-fonts-4.2.0-8".  Er der nogen med en Red Hat
7.3-installation, der kan se at der står "fælleskøn" nederst
på den sjette side i denne præsentation:
