Grunden til, at de leverede et snapshot af gcc (tilføjet RedHats egne
patches, så den faktisk blev stabil) var netop at få bedre C++
support. Så det er næppe problemet her. Jeg hælder mere til stdlib.h,
som en anden foreslog.

"Problemet" med gcc i RH7 er, at den af C++ programmer danner
objektfiler, som ikke kan kombineres med objektfiler fra hverken
tidligere eller kommende gcc oversættere. Det vil derfor blive
nødvendigt at recompile alle C++ programmer når gcc 3.0 (forhåbenlig
snart) kommer. Men det ville det også hvis RedHat havde brugt gcc
2.95.2, så det er IMHO et problem, som er til at overskue.
