Tænk, jeg har flere steder hørt at han i den danske
version af historien hev sig selv op ved håret, og i
den amerikanske version ved støvlestropperne. Er der
nogen der ved det med sikkerhed? Jeg ved blive ved med
at hævde at det er tilfældet, indtil nogen får
overbevist mig om noget andet. Udtrykket påstås i hvert
fald at komme fra historien med Baron von Munchhausen.
Har du noget grundlag for at sige at det er et ældre
engelsk udtryk?
