Den kan jeg ikke lige umiddelbart gennemskue (og nok slet ikke uden at
se fx linie 439 af eigenkx.c); men til C++ arbejde vil jeg anbefale at
bruge den seneste egcs (1.1.2). Måske giver den en mere tydelig fejl -
eller godtager programmet?

C++ har udviklet sig siden den udgave, gcc har implementeret, så hvis
et gammelt program ikke kan oversættes med en nyere compiler (men godt 
med en ældre) skyldes det måske at programmet bruger forældede C++
konstruktioner.
